Club Fitting: $49.99 with club purchase

Club fitting is an essential element in producing both consistent ball flight and proper swing mechanics. A properly fit club allows the individual golfer the ability to maximize both power and accuracy. One hour iron fittings, driver fittings, and putter fittings are available.
Junior Golf
The Junior Program at Grand Haven Golf Club will allow juniors of all ages and skill levels to learn the game of golf. The Junior Golf Certification Program at The Grand Haven Golf Club provides junior golfers ages 5-15, with the basis for:
- Golf Course Etiquette
- The Rules of Golf
- Honor and Integrity
- Basic Swing Fundamentals, Short Game, and Golf Course Management.
- The Knowledge and Ability to Play Golf & Have Fun!
The Junior Program at Grand Haven Golf Club will allow juniors of all ages and skill levels to learn the game of golf. 
Pee Wee Level
An introduction into the game of golf for children ages 5-7. Designed to educate junior golfers on course etiquette, safety, and rules! Classes will meet once a week for 45 minutes (8-week sessions). Cost of $40-$50 per junior.
Level 1
Junior Certification Courses will run in 1 month sessions from May-August. Level 1 is designed to educate junior golfers on course etiquette, safety, rules, scoring, and basic swing mechanics. The classes will meet twice a week for one ½-hour sessions (4-week session). The junior will be given an on course examination and a rules and etiquette test, which will allow the student to move into Level 2 Certification. Cost of $125 per junior.
Level 2
Designed for graduates of the Level 1 certification course, Level 2 will focus on the short game, full swing, and golf course play. Juniors will be instructed on how to putt & chip around the green, full swing drills, and honor and integrity on the course. The classes will meet twice a week for one ½-hour sessions (4-week session). An on-course exam and a written exam must be completed to advance into Level 3 Certification. Cost of $125 per junior.
Level 3
Level 3 will focus on bunker play, pitch shots, and full swing. During this course the junior will learn advanced rules and further development in all aspects of the game of golf. Graduates of Level 3 will allow the student to move into Level 4. Cost of $125 per junior.
Level 4
Level 4 will involve advanced instruction in the full swing and short game. Individual and Team competition will be introduced in the Level 4 Certification class. Level 4 graduates will be encouraged to continue with private instruction for further development in the game of golf. Cost of $125 per junior.
The average student to instructor ratio is 8 to 1.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are available for golfers looking to learn the basic fundamentals of golf. The lessons include full swing, short game, and on course instruction. Group lessons meet once a week for 1 hour, beginning during the first week of each month, and last for the entire month. Group instruction is available during the week and on weekends from June-October. Cost of $125 per student.
The average student to instructor ratio is 8 to 1.

Janus Golf Academy Professional Staff Bios:
Scott Janus
Growing up just outside of Chicago, Scott grew up learning from some of the top golf instructors in the United States. The late Dr. De De Owens “former top 100 golf instructor and multiple LPGA Teacher of the Year recipient,” helped develop Scott's passion for golf instruction at a young age. Coach Janus is a graduate of Mississippi State University, one of the premier Professional Golf Management schools in the nation. The Janus Golf Academy's teaching philosophy is: To coach golfers of all ages and skill levels to reach their maximum potential, and increase their enjoyment of the game. This achievement is accomplished through the instruction of advanced swing coaching, expert club fitting, advanced short game instruction, statistical game tracking, and goal setting. Scott is currently the Director of Instruction at the Grand Haven Golf Club & the Janus Golf Academy, a former collegiate Head Men's Golf Coach, and former Golf Coach to the Kingdom of Bhutan. Willy DiStefano
A current student in the Professional Golf Management Program at Methodist University in North Carolina, Willy has one level remaining before he is a certified Class-A PGA Member. He is a graduate of The Albany Academy in Albany, NY where he was a member of their school's varsity golf team for four years, and Willy was able to help his team win their League and Section titles each year he was a member of the golf team. Willy has gained a vast amount of knowledge towards the game of golf through playing on the International Junior Golf Tour, the American Junior Golf Association, and by attending Methodist University where he took classes that focused on golf and golf instruction. He has been professionally coaching this game to students for four years with many more to come. In December of 2008 Willy will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Methodist University, and he will be a Class-A member of the PGA.
Eric Wohlfield
Currently an Assistant Golf Professional at Grand Haven Golf Club, Eric has had an extensive golf history. He has been coaching professionally for the past four years, and he has devised this philosophy, “Every individual has a unique swing and should be taught to make the most of their natural abilities based on the same basic fundamentals—grip posture and alignment. The goal is to get the fundamentals correct to provide a solid foundation for an athletic swing with good temp and balance. Each lesson stresses the importance of the short game when it comes to scoring.” Eric attended high school at Brighton High School in Brighton, MI. While attending Brighton High School, he was a member of their golf team, and in 1997 he was named Mr. Golf. In 2002, Eric graduated from Hope College with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. While attending Hope College he played for their golf team for four years, and he was named All-American in two of his four years of playing collegiate golf. After graduating from college Eric went on to play one year on the Hooters Golf Tour where he was able to further his golfing career.
Bruce Saip
Formerly a part-time associate in the professional shop, Bruce Saip is now the Assistant Golf Professional at Grand Haven. He is a graduate of Saugatuck High School and Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Bruce was a member of Saugatuck's Varsity Golf Team for four years and helped the team to the state finals each of those years.
Bruce has lived in the west Michigan area for the past 25 years; with his background in Education and 20 years of golf course work experience, Bruce is a great fit as an assistant at GHGC.
Chip Ferlaak
General Manager and Grand Haven Director of Golf Chip Ferlaak has been a PGA Member since 2002; two years later, he earned status as a PGA Certified Professional in General Management. A native of Minnesota and a graduate of Saint John's University in Collegeville, MN, he now resides in Fruitport, Michigan with his wife Jody and their four children, Brock, Wyndham, Isabella, and Ava.
